Hellos & Goodbyes - November 2021

This article will make your head spin – do try and keep up – LOL. You will know that the employment situation just at the moment is quite tricky. With low unemployment, and difficulty in importing talented people while our borders are closed, capable and excellent staff are having the time of their lives being offered new opportunities. So while we are losing some great people, I am pleased to say that we’ve also found some equally great people to come and join our team. I have to say, in all of my years I have never seen such huge employment activity in one place at one time. So here goes:

Carolyne Grant began work as the APPLAUSE Campaign Manager on Monday, 2 August, raising funds for our new building.

Niamh McCormick was appointed as a member of the Box Office team and began work in August.

Deborah Moor worked at The Court for over 20 years in the Wardrobe department and, in the past two years, as the Wardrobe Manager. Deb has left The Court to work independently, particularly wanting to work making wedding dresses. Her last day was Wednesday, 11 August. An afternoon high tea was organised for her farewell which was very well attended by both present and past staff. Daniella Salazar has been appointed in Deb’s place, initially for a 12-month period.

Dr. Alison Walls returned from the US to join us as the new Education & Outreach Manager and began work at The Court on 20 September.

Sahra Grinham began work at The Court as Donor Engagement Manager on 27 September.

Lynette Lamprecht-Smith has left The Court after nearly three years of filling an array of roles, culminating in working as our Graphic Designer. Her last day was 8 October.

After an all too brief time at The Court, Stacey Wouters has resigned as Publicist within the Marketing and Comms department to return to her true love of working in radio. Stacey’s last day was 22 October.

Mally Goldberg, our previous Marketing Manager, has resigned as Tessitura Manager and her last day will be 19 November.

Tyler Jayne Jones, our intern who then stayed for a few months as our Digital Content Creator, has found her first permanent employment role as a video editor, and also leaves us on 19 November.

Amanda Hare joined us in the new role of Administration Manager on 15 November.

Finally, some very exciting news is that Flore Charbonnier, our Production Manager, is expecting her first baby early in February 2022.
