Coming Soon to The Shed

It’s a theatrical feast this August and September, as a series of artists make their way into The Shed to present a range of magical, musical and hilarious live events.

Been missing Scared Scriptless? On Friday 28 August, Canterbury’s favourite late-night comedy show returns as Scared Scriptless comes back for 2020! This improvised comedy show will be back on Fridays for the rest of the year, with tickets just $20 for adults and $18 for groups of six plus.

We’re thrilled to announce the auditorium will reopen with the arrival of Rants in the Dark on 29 August. Based on Emily Writes’ bestselling novel, this heartfelt and hilarious play explores the reality of raising kids, offering comfort and connection to exhausted parents all around the world. Following sell-out seasons across the North Island, this play is perfect for parents – present or future! - offering “the mother of all theatrical experiences.”

Running from 26 September – 10 October, we’re so excited to be welcoming the internationally renowned Modern Māori Quartet! The Court will be hosting the Aotearoa premiere of their hit show, Two Worlds. Delivering laughter, tears and wonderful melodies, this toe-tapping show is packed full of musical classics – and stunning waiata that unfold the fabric of Māori musical culture.
