The Court Theatre receives sponsorship support from an array of local and national businesses which are all recognised and thanked in the back of each show programme and in many of our communications. Of course, behind the logos that you see listed in the programme are the many wonderful people we engage with regularly to develop and enhance our win-win relationships.
What does a win-win relationship look like in the sponsorship context? For us, the most successful sponsorships develop when we are very clear on the value we can deliver to the sponsor, such as helping to communicate their messages and raise their profile, or to provide unique client and team entertainment options, as two examples. The Court Theatre is about connecting people through great theatre experiences and we have a wonderful opportunity to do this for our sponsors and their clients and team.
The super spectacular sponsorships are those that raise the profile of the sponsor while enabling us to do what we do better or enhance our customer experience. I’m sure you’ll agree that our relationship with Giesen Wines is a fabulous example of how a sponsor can enhance the customer experience! (Pictured above). Recently our IT support provider Adaptive Cloud Solutions and mobile provider Spark, both sponsors, worked together to provide complimentary guest Wi-Fi in our foyer and some signage will be going up about this shortly. Last year we worked with sponsors Air New Zealand and The George hotel to bring people from all over the country to see Jersey Boys. These examples demonstrate the nature of ‘win win’ that we continually aspire to. Sponsorship is fun in so many ways as we get the opportunity to be creative and learn a lot from the sponsors we have – using their strengths to support our own.
