The Girl on the Train
On Monday, 9 May, we arranged a Facebook Live panel discussion in which our Artistic Director Alison Walls chatted with Director Holly Chappell and Set Designer Daniel Williams about bringing a novel to life on the stage, and other The Girl on the Train -related challenges. This panel chat was recorded so, if you missed it, you can get hear the behind-the-scenes intel here (20 minutes).
The cast of The Girl on the Train revealed
We’re excited to reveal the talented cast of The Girl on the Train to life. There are several familiar faces, but a special warm welcome to Emma Katene and Ahmed Youssef as they make their Court Theatre debut.
If you aren’t familiar with the story of The Girl on the Train, this show is a relatively rare thing for stage – a thriller, full of suspense. It follows the story of Rachel Watson, a recently divorced 33-year-old, whose life has completely fallen apart.
What begins as a harmless infatuation with a couple she watches from the train each day, quickly turns into a nightmare when the wife suddenly disappears. As Rachel involves herself in the investigation, she starts to unearth more secrets that neither she nor anyone else, were prepared for.

Flagons and Foxtrots
Hello theatre lovers!
Just a little note from me to say how much we are looking forward to bringing you Flagons and Foxtrots in August.
The team and I have fallen so in love with this fast, funny, and heart-filled play. I know that so many of you specifically asked for this brilliant play – co-written by Court legend and one of my greatest mentors, Ross Gumbley – to be brought to life again. Pressure? What pressure! In any case, I hear pressure makes diamonds. Bring your dancing shoes, and we'll bring the laughs. See you in August!
